I almost went with Tantalizing Thursday, but some of my friends wouldnt understand. LOL

I will eventually make a link to the wild side. But in the meantime,

It's Summertime, what kind of meals do you make?
I know in my house, it's too darn hot to use the oven. So I try and think of cool and easy meals to make. Being laid off, I try and be economical. Like the APW (Almost Perfect Women) realizes, its better to have money in your pocket. It's called Smart Shopping. I received an email from Kraft and all the recipes in here look scrumptous.

Im being called to the pool with the little one, now you know why we need quick and easy meals. BRB to finish.

Ok, she's happy for a while. Now do you know of any easy recipes, great coupon blogs or just someone that loves to cook, please leave a comment and I'll check out your site.

Back to School

Hi everybody, I'm back!!!! Happy to hear that all you wonderful people had a great time at Blogher and made it home safe.

Next Monday, I go back to school. After 17 years of being out of school, I decide to go back. What's wrong with me? Am I terrified, of course I am. Do I understand that nothing in life stays the same and we have to roll with the punches? Of course, I do!!

Guess what, I can do it!!! I should have done this 25 years ago, but life gets in the way. We have kids, we get married and life seems to control us. What's wrong with taking back my life and being the one in control.

I give kudo's to those that realize life never stays the same and does something about it. Yesterday, I went to the nearest career center and saw people that were eager to get back to work and were willing to do anything to do it. I also saw some people that looked as if they were wondering why they were there. People wake up and smell the coffee. If you want work, then pull yourself up out of your slump, act like your alive and do something about it.

I guess I learned that from my daddy or I learned the hard way. I am a hustler, not in a bad way, but in a good way. I will do whatever it takes to keep my head afloat and not lose everything that I worked so hard to get.

I realize I don't need diamonds, fancy cars, or lots of money in the bank. What I need is a roof over my head, food in my families bellies and enough money to pay my bills.

What would you splurge on?

A topic was brought to me on facebook and I need your opinions. Would you splurge on shoes or handbags like over 100.00? I saw these awesome Neiman Marcus shoes and I about fell out of the chair. Beautiful but ....

Being a country girl and happy with my jeans and tshirt, its hard for me to picture buying shoes for 865.00. Then a matching handbag would be another $1000.00.
I love to get dressed up but why spend so much when you get almost the same thing at a discounted price? Its like a present, you can put the prettiest bows and paper on but when you open the present, it matters whats inside.

Don't get me wrong, I think these pumps and handbags are BEAUTIFUL, but like anything else they are eye candy. I give the artist that produced these wonderful products alot of kudos but again. They are not me.

This is the perk of being an Almost Perfect Woman, I know when to shop, how to shop, and believe in savings.

It is an awesome get together for bloggers at Seaworld in Orlando.
With all the hoopla regarding Blogher, I was thinking, "Wouldn't it be awesome if a blogging conference was planned for Orlando. You talk to the right people in Twitter and dreams can come true.

for one it's where most of the cool people will be and my hometown is Chicago.

It's to late to make plans, so I am attending Ustream and web parties. The one that I am most excited about so far is The Blogrollers party tonight. These girls are crazy in a fun sort of way.

I had the pleasure of being with them, by Ustream, when they received their

Silver Chevy Traverse yesterday. They will be driving this Chevy to Chicago by way of i75 (probably) so look for them on the highway so if you see them BEEP BEEP BEEP at them.

Kraft foods

Summer time, its hot and your tired? Whats for dinner?
I love Kraft foods website!!! Why, they have so many ideas to make and its so easy.
I love the coupons that are included in this site. The APW knows that it's better to have money in your bank account then in the stores register.

Is it all about me?

I can finally sit back and relax, why? Because for the past 20 years, I have raised my family, made sure bills were always paid on time and I think I was a fantastic friend to many. Friends knew that if they needed something they could count on me, most of the time.

I think it's time for me. Time for me to do what I want to do. My kids don't understand and don't like it but I raised them to the age of 18. I was there most of the time, when I wasn't working putting food in their mouths.

What keeps me happy nowadays? I enjoy chatting with my friends online, I love to garden and I love my company that I am with now. Brown Bag Party is awesome, it may not be for all but it is for me and being over the age of 40, I think I have the right to say, "If you dont like it, to bad" with a smile on my face.

I usually am a very private person so these blog updates will be very hard for me, but again being over the age of 40, its about time I get my butt in gear and do whats good for me. Let the wall down around me and slowly start letting people in.

Mortgage Apple Cake

Every so often, you come across that person that leaves a good impression and wish that you were more like her. Well, I think I found that person that definately deserves the Almost Perfect Woman award.

Let me introduce you to Angela Logan. Angela is a mother to wonderful kids, works hard and fell into financial diffictulties like many of us do. She was left with a house that was and is under construction after the construction crew that she hired failed to keep her end of the deal and cost Angela thousands of dollars.

What makes Angela different then the rest of the population? Angela came up with a plan and a very tastefully plan at that. Angela has started baking and selling Mortgage Apple Cakes. She has set a goal to sell 100 Mortgage Apple Cakes (MAC) in 10days.

What makes Angela awesome is that she knew she had to do something quick and stepped up to the plate and fought these foreclosure moguels. Watching MYFOXNY you can tell that Angela has that strong attitude and she is willing to do anything to save her house.

I always said, "Instead of crying and complaining about people losing jobs and losing homes, think of something that will help you." Times change, People Change and you have to roll with the punches.
It seems Angela has done just that.

I have a party tonight and I am kinda nervous. Not enough items to show and its for the hubbies family. How do you explain to them, what I do?

First Almost Perfect Woman
I am in envy of some of my gardening friends that I have met on Twitter and around the net. One that comes to mind is,Shawna Coronado.

Shawna is amazing. She taught me today that I can eat Daylillies, how to recycle, and how gardening can be fun.
Who would ever think that one can eat flowers. Shawna has even written a book about Gardening Nude,
NO, its not actually getting nude but it is a catchy title, isn't it?

Perfect Woman

Why is it when you ask Men and Women what is a perfect woman, you will get two completely different answers. Men will think with their eyes and *** and Women will think of someone strong, someone that is able to take on the world.

When you think of the perfect woman, is it someone like either of these two? Why?
To me the perfect women is someone that don't take no crap, stands for what she believes in and then when the time calls for it, can be sexy and seductive.
A perfect women has to be able to do it all.
You see there is no perfect woman out there. We all like to think we are and in our minds we may be the perfect women but we can't do it all or be it all.

Women are ever-changing creatures, when the time comes for a change. We have no problems adapting to what we are given. That is why we are ALMOST PERFECT, we do the best we can, when we can.

Romance

Romance doesnt start with the bedroom, doesn't start with your mate. It starts with you!!!! Think about it, when you have kids screaming, phones ringing, housecleaning and dinner cooking who has time to think about Romance and Sex.

Do you ever get the nudge from your loved one or the little hints and your just not interested? To many, sex is the last thing on their mind because they are either too tired or thinking about the chores that they have to do the next day.

This is why we should put dates on our calender and schedule time with the other half. When you plan these kind of dates, it makes things MUCH easier. Your attention is pretty much focused on your other half, you can remember why you are with this person and why you fell in love. There are no distractions, unless your the type of person that wonders what the kids are doing while your away. If your this type of person, STOP!!

Sit back and remember the days when you dressed up and was excited about seeing your other half. It felt good to get dressed up and go out, didnt it? Why stop just because you have kids, bills and pressure. Some of you are saying, sounds easier then what it is and economic times are tougher.

Pack a picnic, go out and take a walk. Spend quality time together, get the communication back. There are so many things that you can do that doesnt take alot of effort or money.

Once you get that rolling and you feel better and the communication lines are open, then Romance and Sex will start falling into place.

Almost Perfect Woman

It doesn't take much to be the Perfect woman. Think that you are, know that you are and as long as you have a good attitude about life, then you are the perfect woman.
Women come in many shapes and sizes with many different personalities.

Are you the type of person that everyone wants to be around?
If your someone that has a good time and loves to live it up then you are the perfect woman. Think about it, would you rather be near someone that has that happy, upbeat personality or someone that is down in the dumps all the time? If someone approaches me with the down in the dumps personality, I run as fast as I can, being nice of course, but I run.

There are many woman that love to help others, just look on Twitter. I have met many wonderful people there and you know what they are all perfect in their own way.
It took me many years to realize, as long as your happy who the heck cares what others think of you. I am happy, your happy, were all happy.
