What a weekend

Do you ever get in the mood that you just want to stay in your pj's all day. Well, that was me yesterday. I am hardly ever like that. With the more I am involved with things and the more time I stay away from home. I realize that Me time is the most important. Especially when I feel drained.

It seems everyone just wanted to rest, maybe it was because of the rain and cold weather.

Had the baby all weekend, he is now 2 months old and the perfect baby. No crying, no fussing (unless of course, he doesnt have his bottle) Taking him home shortly so will post more when I get home. I cant tell my DIL and son how much I appreciate them letting me borrow their son. Thank you!!

I am so excited!!

Tomorrow is our day for Orlando and meeting my Brown Bag Party Sisters!!! Every one needs Girls day out to rejuvinate!!! What a better way then to meet friends that you have been talking to all year. We also get a day full of information with Julie Ann Jones.

Valentines Day

Everyone knows that Valentines Day is a day or Romance, spending time with loved ones and good food.

I have been listening to the radio lately and there has been alot of commercials for Proflowers.com. It being Valentines day, I thought I would send my mom some flowers. My mom has been very sick lately and I thought this would brighten her day. I decided on a pretty arrangement and the total was 29.99 without shipping and handling or anything else. Lets say by the time I was going to check out the total was 65.00 or better. That's twice the amount of
the flowers. I don't know about you but spending that much money on something that is going to die within a few days, Not my cup of tea! My question is, why take advantage of people during the holidays?

I then decided to look for a florist in my moms part of town and came across Joanna's Floral Creations and Gifts. I have to tell you the Customer Service was great, the flowers were to die for and I would definitely use their business again.
How did I find their service? On the internet, through a newspaper article.
It goes to show you to shop local and give business to the smaller business's in town. Joanna was very pleasant to speak with and she knew exactly what I wanted. The price was right on the money and I made my mom very happy, in which turn made me happy. We all won!! Proflowers, sorry you didn't make the grade!!

Working from home

Today I had the best time having a friend of mine over. We talked, laughed and had a good time. She wanted to introduce me to the world of Send out Cards. This opportunity sounds like a wonderful addition to the business's that I already have.

I love the companies that I work for!! Why? Because I am my own boss. I set my own hours and I run the business at my own leisure. Brown Bag Party is one of my favorites. When I do a party, My goal is to have the hostess and friends educated and to have a wonderful time. There is never a dull moment and I laugh as hard as the guests. After all, that is why we are there to have a good time. If you smile, the guests smile.

I am also with Mia Bella Candles. I had a friend over today and she loved the Sweet Orange and Chili Pepper. She couldn't believe how it made the whole house smell. I gave her a few samples to take home. What do they say Smell and Sell?

I have told you about my past history and what I do now. But where do I see myself 20 years down the road when its time to retire? I see living on the rainbow enjoying life because I had the vision of working for myself and letting my knowledge work for me.

Who are you?

Many moons ago, I was a struggling momma with 4 boys and a jerk of a husband. I tried to work, (because the moron wouldn't) and take care of the family and raise kids. I swore that someday down the road, I would make sure that mothers knew that there were opportunities out there.

Tricks of the Trade

1. Never compromise your self worth!! You are an amazing person that deserves to be treated with decency and respect. So many times women think they NEED a man. Thanks to my husband now, he made me realize I DON'T NEED A MAN. I love having mine around but that's because I want him around, not because I NEED him.

2. If you want something bad enough, you will find a way to get it. Look for the gold at the end of the rainbow. In fact, focus on the rainbow until you get to the pot of gold. There is always a way to get what you want. It may not come right away but God always has a plan.

3. Look to the higher powers. Whether you believe in God, Ali baba or whomever, You have to realize that someone is always out there looking out for your best interest. I was talking to a friend the other day and she was describing a similar situation, she asked for the higher powers and she received help. I once asked for tht same help. I was in a domestic violence relationship and I asked for help from higher powers and within a short time I knew exactly what I had to do. I then packed up my kids and hauled ass in a car full of belongings and kids across three states and I was safe.

Moral of the story: Never say Never

So many times you see self-help for all kinds of things. Direct Sales, Moms and whatever else but I am here to tell you that you need Self-confidence and the HOT MAMA attitude!! Once you have those two things, you will have the world at your feet. Life throws us a bunch of curve balls, the idea is to catch them and throw them back as hard as you can. Stand up and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!

I have made the decision to take control of MY Life and you will too!!
